A series of unsolved crimes, a heavy wooden chest and a file that has been closed for years. This Halloween, Case Z is reopened. Our Halloween escape room in Zurich turns the Zodiac Challenge into a direct battle: up to six teams of up to five players race each other at Predigerplatz in the heart of the old town. Crack six sealed suitcases faster than your rivals – then discover the twist every cold case fan knows: the truth only comes out when everyone puts their evidence on the table.
Every team gets its own wooden chest with six sealed suitcases. Logic, dexterity and teamwork open one suitcase after another, while up to six teams compete head to head in the same room – the clock is running for everyone. But each team only holds fragments of the truth. In the shared finale, the teams must put their evidence together to crack the master code and close the case. Fastest team wins, but nobody solves it alone.

Case Z is reopened: as cold case detectives, your team cracks six sealed suitcases and earns map fragments with every puzzle solved. Pick your slot below – Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday – and secure your team’s place in the Halloween battle.
The team that cracks the Zodiac cold case fastest over the Halloween weekend is crowned champion – and together with BOS Switzerland we plant a tree in the rainforest in your team’s name. A victory that keeps growing long after Halloween.
Five lives, marked by a mysterious figure who was never caught. Inside your wooden chest you’ll find letters, strange objects and tricky locking mechanisms – each one leading you closer to the truth behind a series of crimes from long ago. Your mission: reconstruct the map that holds the final answer before the 90 minutes run out.
Real cold case feeling: handwritten notes, old maps and mechanical locks instead of screens.
A real competition: up to six teams play head to head, not just against the clock.
Three languages: play in English, German or French.
A session takes place once at least three teams have registered. If this minimum is not reached, we’ll inform you 48 hours in advance, cancel the booking and refund the full amount immediately. The Halloween battle is a detective thriller, not a horror house – suitable for all cold case fans.
Our venue is located at Predigerplatz 22 in the Niederdorf, just a 10-minute walk from Zurich main station and easy to reach by public transport. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the game.
CHF 67 per team on Friday and Saturday, CHF 76 per team on Sunday. The price applies to the whole team of up to five players – from CHF 13.40 per person.
Friday, 30 October at 8 pm, Saturday, 31 October at 11 am, 2 pm and 5 pm, and Sunday, 1 November at 11 am and 2 pm.
Each session needs at least three teams. If the minimum isn’t reached, we’ll let you know 48 hours in advance and refund you in full.
